Thank you kind readers!

I find myself humbled by the wonderful messages that you have sent me. Thank you!

I was also surprised to see my Kick in the Pants/Cider & Rye cocktail post recommended by Stephanie at 3191 Miles Apart and by Soule Mama. Thank you!

I am working on some new posts, but in the meantime I thought I would be fun to share a little list of things that I want to make or enjoy.

Punch is a great new online magazine devoted to libations and the culture of drink. I loved this story about distillery cats. Brad Thomas Parsons also wrote a wonderful book about bitters.

I can't stop thinking about these cookies from Reclaiming Provincial - smoky cardamom ginger molasses cookies. I can't wait to try them.

Juniper Ridge has suddenly become a global hipster darling, but I have loved their products since the nineties. I used to buy their soap at the Berkeley farmers market. I really love the Cascade Glacier scent, especially the essential oil blend. It smells like a trip up to Mt. Hood. I really don't mind smelling like a Christmas tree all year long. They wild-craft and distill their own fragrances. A truly unique company.

I really want to make this walnut old fashioned, but I have no Calvados or walnut liqueur in the house. I must correct this.

Waffles. Waffles. Waffles. Mr. Graham recently bought a waffle iron and we love it. There are so many good recipes to try. I really miss the cornmeal waffles at Guerrilla Cafe in Berkeley and will work hard to replicate them.

Made by Hand - I love this book by Lena Corwin. The projects are approachable and unique. It is the perfect gift too: I would wrap it with a tea towel along with some of the raw materials to make a project, perhaps a block of beeswax and some wicks to make birthday candles, or a muslin bag filled with beads to make one of the lovely necklaces. This book has gorgeous photographs by Maria Alexandra Vettese and Stephanie Congdon Barnes.

A few of my favorites ingredients in one glass.

Is there anything out there that you would like to share? It is the season for sharing, especially tasty homemade goodies! Let's get inspired...

Cheers!
